Thank you Norton Healthcare & Anthem Insurance

For taking away my family doctor, and Kosair Children's Hospital. I'm beginning to wonder why we even pay for health insurance now that our rights/choices have been taken away!

The greed of these people is disgusting. They care more about lining their pockets with money than the health of others. And, what a wicked thing to do by using Kosair Children's Hospital as a bargaining chip! Now, if our children need to go to Kosair, we'd have to pay everything out of pocket! Or, we have the choice of taking them to Lexington, Cincinnati, or Nashville.

This just makes me sick. Oh, but I better not get too ill. Who knows if I'll have a doctor that will accept my insurance?

  1. I agree, the insurance companies keep jacking up the prices to get that almighty dollar-people be hanged. The clinics, hospitals, and doctors are almost as bad;Of course, they have to do what the insurance companies demand and that give the insurance companies a strong grip on the charges. I guess they would rather see us all underground than to ease up on this leash. One day,one of the heads of the insurance companies will need medical help and I hope that they turn him away just like they do the rest of us. Greedy **************

  3. Yes, the story broke Friday night. It was on the CJ's front page Saturday. I'm not sure if I completely understand the new deal, but from everything I've read, it sure does sound like Norton is going to charge the patients the full amount. It appears we still have some coverage until January 1, but still...

  4. I too think this really stinks. A lot of people are out in the cold right now. Maybe a state or federal moderator should be called in. Health care in America!!

  5. Yeah I'm right there with you! It's just so frustrating. I've been needing the visit the doctor since the baby was born for an issue I've been experiencing, but the thought of having to find another doctor is just too daunting/scary for me and I really don't want to do it. I hope you never need to go to Kosair's, but the fact that now they're taking that away too just makes me mad!
