(that's $0.42 a pound; CHEAPEST deal on sugar I've found; even Sam's Club prices are over $0.60 a pound!)


If you are looking for flour deals, Meijer has had their 5 lb bags of flour for $1.25, and ValuMarket has had their 5 lb bags of flour for $1.29. Not sure if either of these prices are still good. This is also a good stock up price on flour!

Kroger Mega Event 11/28 - My shopping trips!!

So, I had some retail therapy this afternoon via Kroger's Mega Event. I was so excited (probably more excited than one should get when shopping Kroger) that I just had to share my trips. Yes, trips, because I went to two different Krogers.

Here's everything I got (some for my family, and some to donate):

(6) Hamburger Helpers
(2) Better Oats Oatmeal
(4) Bumblebee Tuna Pouches (all FREE with overage)
(4) Kraft Deluxe Mac & Cheese
(1) Wesson Oil
(2) Carnation Milk
(2) Quaker Rice Cakes (had $0.50/2 peelie on them; made them $0.29 each)
(1) Krusteaz Cookie Mix (FREE with overage)
(18) Kleenex Tissues
(6) Ziploc Freezer Bags
(2) Emerald Peanuts
(1) Duracell 9V Battery
(2) Perdue Ground Turkey
(1) Kroger Chicken Tenderloins
(3) Kroger Brown Sugar

=55 items total

Total after Mega Event and coupons =$46.81 (that's about $0.85 per item!!)

THEN...

I got back Catalinas...

I bought (6) Tuna Helpers at $0.75 each after sale and coupons, and got a $3.00 OYNO off of Hamburger, Chicken, or Tuna.

I bought (18) Kleenex Tissues at $0.65 each after the sale and coupons, and THEN got back (3) $3.00 OYNO Catalinas.

THEN...

I was pleasantly surprised to find out the Ziploc Freezer bags cranked out another Catalina. I got (3) Catalinas for $1.25 OYNO.

So, to sum it up, I got 55 items for $46.81. Five of those items were FREE with overage. And, then Kroger paid me $15.75 for buying certain items!

$46.81 - $15.75 = $31.06 for 55 items!
